Ode to Sean Hannity by John Cleese
Aping urbanity
Oozing with vanity
Plump as a manatee
Faking humanity
Journalistic calamity
Intellectual inanity
Fox Noise insanity
You’re a profanity
Hannity
Not very nice, but that is the disparaging critical British humour of John Cleese and his manic-depressive mentality. As the Guardian Online describes him, “Moany Python: As an author, John Cleese only comes alive when he is angry, and he seems at his angriest when writing about his mother.”
Not a huge fan of Sean Hannity, and I appreciate Cleese’s leveling, but still, not very nice. No wonder Cleese has been married a gazillion times, has had years of therapy, and collects stuffed toys because they make him smile. Think I’d much prefer to be friends and neighbours with Hannity. But Sean, could you please stop being so dogmatic on air over your opinion and talking over others. It’s boorish rather than incisive or erudite, but you’re a good guy and a rare sea wall against the Liberal cess pool tsunamis.
By the way, I recommend this book. Its a great read and revealled that Cleese lost his virginity in NZ and their first Monty Python live show was actually in Timaru (south of Christchurch) NZ.
